4. The Beatles
There are lots of attractions preserved or built especially for this band. One of which is at the Albert Dock where the Beatles Story can be found featuring their life as performers since they began until they became a worldwide hit. Another is the Cavern Club where the band performed around 300 times. Near to this club is the Hard Days Night Hotel, a luxury hotel inspired by the band. The childhood homes of the two members (John Lennon and Paul McCartney) also welcome visitors.
5. The Walker
The city's major art gallery is a home to many impressive British art collections such as those of Hockney, Degas and Rembrandt. This has been referred to as the north's national art gallery.
